Well, for Zurich UK, it just did. The insurance giants have been fined a record £2.28m for losing details on 46,000 customers that could have led to burglary and fraud.
Zurich said it acknowledged the incident was "unacceptable" and added that it had served to remind it of the need to improve the ways in which it tried to protect customer data.
